They're Here

Indy found some boxes on the front porch today.

I am REAL excited to see all of them.

The top box contains the yarn I won

for placing in the Vanna's Choice Contest this spring.

The bottom two are from DirecTv.

It has only taken me three calls to them

to send these boxes to me.

We upgraded to HD 

and have 4 receivers we needed to return.

Once one calls them,

they say they will be sending boxes out to you.

Well, I think it took me one extra call

to get an American on the phone

who actually understood what I wanted.

Since the bottom two boxes are empty,

I won't show you what is inside them.

Here is what was inside the Lion Brand box.

It included the following 21 yarns.

Tapestry: Brazil, Scandinavian and Peru

BonBons: Happy and Peaceful

Glamor: Diamond and Lapiz

Worsted AWeight Vanna's Choice:

2 Navy, and one each of the following:

Aqua, Colonial Blue, Dusty Blue,

Silver Blue, Sapphire, Linen, Beige,

Mustard, Terracotta, Honey, Rust

and Raspberry.

Now, to find patterns :)

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

Tonight Gene started reading something to me, which is a recurring event in our household. After 15 years I have finally gotten pretty good about looking like I am listening, "Uh-huh-ing" at the right time, etc.

Well, tonight he said, "Are you listening?" I decided I better start.

So he starts rereading a letter that tells me I have won 2nd place in the Vanna's Choice Contest. (For those of you not in the USA, Vanna's Choice is a worsted weight yarn sold by Lion Brand.)

I just sat her dumbfounded . . . I didn't see a letter from Lion Brand. This envelope had come from a marketing company. I(f I had looked carefully at the envelope I might have thrown it away, not knowing who it was from. Glad it got in Gene's pile of mail today.

Here is what I entered. My bag and 2 of the fish for the game "Goin' Fishin' a Learning Game."

The letter said that once i send in the required information. I would receive approx $100 worth of yarn chosen by the sponsor. I can't wait to see what colors they pick. This is my favorite yarn . . the only one that doesn't dry my hands out.

Will let all of you know more when I receive the yarn.

Vanna's Choice Yarn Contest Finalist

You all will NOT believe this. Quite a few months ago I entered a contest for projects made from Vanna's Choice Yarns. I had forgotten all about it.

Today, I received and email saying I was a FINALIST! "

"Heavens to Betsy," I thought. "What did I enter?"

I went to the link and there it was, my Fishing Games . . tote and fish and info on the games.

WOWZA ! ! ! ! I can't tell you how THRILLED I am.
