Fish Coaster

I saw a pattern on Ravelry today for a Fish Dish Cloth. (Click here for the picture and information.) It was designed by Jennifer Dickerson of FiberFlux.(Fiber Flux...Adventures in Stitching: Free Crochet Pattern...Fabulous Fish Dishcloth!)  I liked it, but I like my dish cloths made of thread . . . they dry out much nicer and seldom get musty smelling.

But, I thought the pattern, with some adaptations, would make an adorable coaster,

Voila, here it is, along with the pattern!
Check out that puckered mouth!  LOLOL)

Edging: this does not need to be done, but I think it makes the fins and tail lay better.
Right side up, join coaster color to the last sc in the lips, do the Crab Stitch, or reverse crochet around the fish, excluding the mouth. Change the edging color to match the color of the thread used.
Please let me know if I  made any mistakes :0)
